The Core Facility Metabolomics (CFM) is housed in the Laboratory Genetic Metabolic Diseases of the Amsterdam UMC. The CFM is characterized by state-of-the-art mass spectrometry equipment, professional bioinformatics tools and expert knowledge in metabolism. We perform metabolomics, fluxomics and lipidomics (semi-targeted and untargeted) and can also perform targeted metabolite analyses. These analyses include the measurements of phospholipids, triglycerides, sphingolipids, sterols, fatty acids, intermediate metabolites of glycolysis, citric acid cycle, pentose-phosphate pathway, acylcarnitines, nucleotides, amino acids, and many more metabolites. If you are interested and want to know what the CFM can do for your research, please do not hesitate to contact us.
User Council meetings
Every four months the CFM organizes a user council meeting to discuss how the facility performs, how it can be improved with a lookout for innovations in the field of metabolomics, lipidomics and fluxomics.
